This is an interesting and positive write! It shows that eventhough thunder and lightning can be a challenge and in my humble opinion extremely terrifying... one can handle it and keep moving foward!
Making it through the challenge... yet strong enough to keep the soul shining!
now this just quakes me...you're roping the thunder to keep your heartbeating...you're riding the lightening to keep your soul shining...great words to give inspiration...nice write.
This is quite an interesting piece you've written there and I seriously enjoyed it throughout the whole stanzas...
Somehow, it kind of reminded me of those old folklore tale, a tall tale; Pesco Bill (I think that was his name?) The tale of a boy who was raised by the wolf, later became much more than just an ordinary cowboy; Kind of like Super-Cowboy, because he didn't have any horses to ride on, just the tornado... Ever read that one? If so, may I assume that it inspired you to write this piece?
Other than that, it's really great tho and thank you for sharing this, because it made me feel like a kid again, because Pesco Bill was one of my fave...

Cowboy, this does really say you can handle anything that comes your way. It is a very strong write with a wonderful and inspiring message as always!! Life and/or people bring hard times and you said it brilliantly..."I'm roping the thunder to keep my heart beating." underneath it all.....you ride with the good cause it is what keeps you going and feeling good. Beautifully expressed with great insight! A very powerful message indeed. I loved it!!!!!
It's better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool
