The Day I Discovered More Then One Sky

The Day I Discovered More Then One Sky

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

WAKE UP

                        Reflections of sunlight at dawn

Cast a rainbow through broken glass

Presenting a wide array of colored skies.

STEP OUT

A feather gently glides across my face

Giving hope that an angel awaits

With salvation lost to false dignity.

WALK ALONG

Sounds of the brook I always pass

But never really heard now flows purely

Through the mind cleansing hollow thoughts.

RETURN HOME

I see everything with more clarity

Now every closet is free of clutter

And the walls no longer cracked.

REST EASY

As I lay my head down in sweet serine

To the notion the every day forward

Is a new beginning to forever and a day.

Wonderfully poetic and positive write!

--- Sounds of the brook I always pass

--- But never really heard now flows purely

--- Through the mind cleansing hollow thoughts.

I love these lines most, they are filled with positiveness and wonderful metaphor, although every stanza is great.

Very image provoking piece.

You did a perfect job here. This is poetry!

This took forever to upload - sorry I've been slow reading your pieces, but the Cafe is a-dragging!

I like this a lot Cowboy. It is an interesting format and speaks to an evolution of your spirit.

Try removing "And, As, To, Is" and see if you like what happens.

It is amazing what we discover when we take a break from this hectic world of ours and slow down and look around us.

These are beautiful words of inspiration Dale, and you're right there is a whole other world out there, we just have to slow down to see it. Our life is too short for us not to enjoy the beautiful world that God has given us.

O!
It is a poem where ure aware of every moment of the day ure living and then rest to know ure ready to face the next.

Lovely..!

In the title ...it should be 'than' one sky...instead of 'then'

Beautiful reflections. I think you must really have been brushed by that angel. Hope and serenity abide here in your words. Lovely.
