I Believe

I Believe

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Finding the positive

"

The flame in my eye

Becomes a ring of fire

That surrounds my heart

With kind warm emotions

Every time I see her.

It gives me the strength

To ride on for what I believe

And my faith breathes a sigh.

The candlelight in her eyes

Flickers with hints of blue

From heartaches of yesterday

Yet I still see a red glow

Of devotion and loyalty

To the one her heart burns for

And now I believe again

That love does exsist.

It's always great to find something postive to have faith to go on

instead of the negative emotions which bring the fears and doubts~

that stifle us in our tracks~Great WritE!! my friend~FranMarie

A strong lyrical piece, born from the courage of hope... Powerful in so many respects, and capturing that sense that life is worth living. Something we need to know deeply...

This is beautiful and flows with a welcoming glow.

It sounds to me like you like someone, but their heart
belongs to someone else.

This is so true, loving and realistic.
Reading this, you come across a someone who is very much with his own feelings and very empathic.
Eye contact or body language can tell so much about what a person is really feeling, I suppose body language is the most honest form of communication in the world.
I really feel for you, I also feel for the one you love but is on the rebound.
You have captured this really well!

This person is a pillar of strength and this poem really reflects how softly we people can continue to feel toward those in our lives no matter what. Love causes perseverance. Well, that's my take on it anyway. I love the flow of this piece and the imagery it brings to my mind's eye.

This is more than a poem, this is you showing your emotions, your hope. There are some fine, fine phrases:
'.. The flame in my eye / Becomes a ring of fire / That surrounds my heart . With kind warm emotions / very time I see her.' Hopefully that ring of fire will stay in place always.

Thank you for sharing a very sincere, symbolic and warm piece of writing.

When I review a poem, I never assume the speaker in the poem is the writer because poetry can be fiction sometimes with a ribbon of truth flowing through the words and emotions...most of my reviews, you will see me refer to "the speaker"...after reading this poem several times over and engaging myself in the words, without a doubt I can feel "you" as "the speaker"...you present a scene that evokes emotion in you which you have turned around and beautifully put your emotions to words.

there is a newness weaved in the words throughout your poem...new found positivism, a new found warmth, and a new found faith...this is a recent discovery you made because your emotions reflect a feeling of exhilaration

"my faith breathes a sigh"...your word choice is amazing and this line is very appealing...you evoke a sense of rapture in these 5 words

the title you created is your affirmation of the faith you found...I love your use of the flame-candle to visually express your thoughts...your focus is impeccable because the symbolism of the candle is a sign of faith or a burning-grateful love for a spiritual meaning.

Dale, this is an absolutely splendid expression of "finding the positive"...your inspiration and passion are evident...your writing skill embraces the delicate essence "That love does exist"...the pleasure you have derived from your discovery of faith is a nice window into your artistic thoughts...VERY NICELY WRITTEN!

Hey Dale, hope is all we have and true love stays in the heart forever, even when we no longer are with that person, but moving on is the key to healing
