Raising Cain

Just some wicked fun for Halloween

  

Pumpkin heads

Ready to strike

For their orange layer

Hides rattlesnake skin

Just one of my many tricks

This Hallows eve.

 

Fog rolls in over

Sacred ground

As I summon the dead

To creep in low

Befriending the little ones

Before taking their souls.

 

Then it’s my turn to rise

Harnessing my vampire lust

Craving something sweet

To rush through my veins

She’ll be young and pretty

And oh so naïve

As I seduce her to the dark side.

 

That’s right it’s my time

To have a little fun

So tonight I am raising Cain

For I have always been Able

For way to long.

Wow sir, this brings back memories of us boys when we were in our young teens and oh! how we loved to go into the cemetary with those naive girls and scare the hell out of them. these lines were my favorite, great words Dale.

Cowboy this was brilliant! I loved it. What a great read for Halloween. I can't conjur up images like that for a holiday such as Halloween. I'm glad someone can. It's not 'just' something...it is something!! You devil you. I don't know much about Halloween as we don't have it here, but from what I gather it is about spooks and this fits the mood very well...
