Without You

Without You

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Without you these aching arms

Are nothing more then limbs

Nailed to a cross without faith.

Without you the light in my eyes

Has become merely candles

In the pouring rain.

Without you my dreams have become

Lost in the chilling fog

Clouding my mind.

Without you this heart

Is just a life support machine

Waiting to be unplugged.

I can relate myself with this much of sadness which you have described here. This is purely heartwrenching and true. Great work dear.

Dale, this my friend is absolutly breath-taking. Without you, these words alone speak volumes but with the added words they absolutly break the heart to read them. I can feel the longing of missing your love. This is a very powerful poem, very heart breaking and yes I will say it again BREATHTAKING.
You are filling up my favorites fast.and this going in also.

I have to say this, and I mean no disrespect in the least to the other reviewers, but I do not think they have come anywhere near doing justice to this particular poem. I have read a lot of pieces here that deal with the feeling of love lost, and none of them have hit me quite like this one did. The level of pain in this particular piece is on an epic level. Man, it sucks that the subject is so tragic - because this is a freaking awesome poem. I am in literally in awe....

I think you are trying to say, you are love struck and broken hearted and it isn't going away too soon. Well expressed.
