TOUCH

TOUCH

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

For my darling Laura

"

You touch my mind

with such true thoughts and opinions

that expands my intellectual stimulus

into a galaxy of stars.

You touch my deepest desires

with wild animalistic urges

that the embers of my sexuality

stays burning bright like the Olympic torch.

You touch the most sacred part of my heart

with a love so unrestrained

that being with you is like

running free with no fences or walls.

You touch my sentimental soul

with a devoted friendship

that you understand what makes

my emotional clock chime every hour.

Your touch has become

my sanctuary… my religion… my passion…

MY FOREVER AND A DAY!!

Dale, this is absolutely breath taking. Absolutely perfectly written. The recipient of this beautiful, declaration of love is one lucky lady. To be written a poem of this magnitude would be an honor worth more than gold.
Perfection Dale. Outstanding job.

Jean

This is my all time time favorite.

Your touch has become my sanctuary...my religion... my passion...

I loved this. It was raw and emotional and beautiful. Don't give up... what's there worth living if you give up? Fighting is the point of living, especially for love.

Sex is about the physical but love, is about the psyche.

I really liked how you used the word "touch" to describe not a physical act but one of emotion. Good flow and imagery.

The third stanza is my favorite.

Thanks for the invite.... JC

This is a truly beautiful expression of love for someone. I had someone in my own life who did the same thing for me; for you to still have it is a blessed thing. Cherish it!

Wonderfully beautiful and breath taking. It is a well written declaration of love.
Gosh, those cowboys are usually so quiet, but when they speak, man shut up and listen.

Best,

The sentiment of this poem is very sweet and you've chosen some good imagery and descriptions of your emotions. I had a little truoble with the flow. First stanza might flow better if you put a comma after opinions, then use "they expand". Second Stanza-
You touch my deepest desires
with wild animalistic urges,
causing the embers of my sexuality
to burn brightly, like an olympic torch.
Fourth stanza-
You touch my sentimental soul
with a devoted friendship,
you understand what causes
my emotional clock to chime every hour.

Love the last three lines of your poem! Hope you take my suggestions in the spirit they are given! Barbara
