The "L" Word And You

for my beautiful Brighteyes

                                                                                                

You may ask yourself why

I feel the way I do?

I would say it was easy

falling for all that is you.

 

If you could see what I see

with very open heart.

A soul full of compassion

warmth and understanding.

 

There is such a genuine

honesty and sincerity

not only in what you say

but also what you don’t.

 

So you can ask me why I do?

All I can say is…

how can I not fall

for such a precious being as you.

 

If you ask me how much?

Well more than any

heartfelt words I can

deliver in any romantic poem.

 

So when you are ready

when you’re set

you can go and believe in me

for I forever believe in you.

Oh Dale what a beautiful poem to Laura. I so wish my husband could write me poetry like this. It is so romantic. For one to write about their love for another is such a noble thing. This poem flows with grace and ease and like Windy said, The words thenselves were most beautiful.
