for my beautiful Brighteyes

                                                                                                

You may ask yourself why

I feel the way I do?

I would say it was easy

falling for all that is you.

 

If you could see what I see

with very open heart.

A soul full of compassion

warmth and understanding.

 

There is such a genuine

honesty and sincerity

not only in what you say

but also what you don’t.

 

So you can ask me why I do?

All I can say is…

how can I not fall

for such a precious being as you.

 

If you ask me how much?

Well more than any

heartfelt words I can

deliver in any romantic poem.

 

So when you are ready

when you’re set

you can go and believe in me

for I forever believe in you.

Romaticism at its best. Modern day Byron or Keats for sure.

My only critique is the font that you used. The words tend to run into one another, and in my oh so not important opinion, detracts from the piece.

I love these last lines. Sometimes, it's so hard to convince someone that you love them and I think you found the perfect words. You convinced me anyway!
