Guess it's the old adage.. 'better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all'
Imagine what it would be like to go through life never loving or being loved.. even memories after things have faded can make you shiver in your shoes.
I understand what you've written, created, so very finely... the poem is very well crafted and maybe, maybe a little bittersweet but, the sweet's the stronger!
Wow...I couldn't of said it better myself. Many people have an internal conflict. They want love and need love. Yet, many of us don't know how to receive love or give it for the matter. Excellent thoughts to ponder.
The many diversities and aspects of love-some that we appreciate and some that we can do without and yet each one has it's place in making us grow. Your last two lines sums it all up:
Well almost sounded like one of my 4am rambles on first read, BUT, then with a second and third read it just really says the truth, love can be confusing, there is no doubt about that! But would it really be worth giving it up, Not for me... Good write my friend. I like the way it "fights" with itself so to speak. :)
It's better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool
