Angel With A Dirty Face

Angel With A Dirty Face

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Even the most innocent have secrets

"

Nature’s breath rolls in stealth

except the earth’s dust

that can’t be tamed.

Heaven’s tears fall

so compassionately down

a porcelain face carved

of beauty and grace.

These forces of nature alone

define divine innocents

but together create

an angel with a dirty face.

Danger lies in being alone

but the devil is a waken

when two make a pair

from lights and mirrors.

The answers to pure wings

is found in the thickest part

of the rolling fog.

So seek and you shall find

what is written in stone

until the new day dawns.

so compassionately down

a porcelain face carved

of beauty and grace.

These forces of nature alone

define divine innocents

God holds a key for us in life and the Devil trys to make us ugly and hurtful and your passion in this poem alone show your grace and I know from all of your wrting that you have the gift of showing the true side of you and what brings out the inner part of your self and life,TY so much for sharing this with me I love it...Belinda

Wow this was AMAZING! It was profound and deep and beautiful. The imagery you conjure is spectacular and I loved the last three lines, they were perfect and made the whole poem come together. Brilliant piece!

I have to say,
this piece made me think twice.
The picture that you chose made me first think,
"that's a complete stereotype" but then i thought about it and it makes perfect sense.
I don't know what it is with me and society but it always comes to mind.

The dust being rules/laws/concerns.
The rain being the ones that are forcing the issue...
and it all builds up to the dirty faces 9 out of 10 of us carry.
We either wear it or keep it in our back pocket as a "safety net" from the truth and all of it's abstinence.

You find beauty where you least expect it.

"This" is my interpritation of your beautiful write.

We all have secrets that we try to hide. But, I don't think that having secrets make us dirty ... it's human and no matter what, God knows anyway.

Your words really make the reader stop and think. At least they did for me.

one thing I have noticed through reading your latest work is the difference in substance and style from your earlier pieces. whilst there was nothing wrong with them, they were just a stepping stone to a new Dale.

this is really well defined and paints a great picture. very good stuff.

A terrific piece of prose Dale, you show your skill as a writer to the max here. Everyone has a skeleton in the closet no matter how small or insignificant. You wisely make your point clear.
Innocents/innocence??? I'm not sure which applies.
Nicely done.
Helen :-)
