Merry and bright

There is nothing like

watching a movie

to get you in the mood

for the christmas season

that is upon us.

Or listen to music, traditional or not

that puts up lights around my heart

like it was a christmas tree.

As the holiday approaches I could walk around the malls and stores for hours and return to the child I was long ago.

Every year I’m a year older and the times are different, and yet the same. For no matter my age or circumstances that surround me, it will always be the season I’m merry and bright.

You have created a wonderful ambience of Christmas, both coming soon and past. It is a beautiful time of year for many but also sad for some. Sad for the lonely. I love everything to do with the festivities Dale and your poem has brought me some seasonal cheer.

Some of those moments of the season when I was kid come back as clearly as if they were yesterday.
I feel the nostalgia of this....and the year I got my first bike. A Hawthorne...Sure they don't make those anymore...it was 1959.
