Janet

Janet

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

For a lady at my church that has fully caught my attention to say the least

"

From the moment I saw her

captivation hit me

at  the speed of light.

The moment I talked to her

I was entranced

by her sweet charm.

Meeting her at church

it would be easy to say

she looked like an angel,

but that comparison

is far too ordinary for her.

Her outer beauty

is as bright as

the afternoon sun

on a clear day

with an inner beauty

that is like the star of Bethlehem,

standing out from all the others.

in her presence

My stomach is a jar of butterflies.

My mind the tornado on a Kansas farm.

and my  heart becomes the roadrunner

that the coyote couldn’t slow down.

Hello,
This poems conveys a strong sense of admiration for the woman mentioned. The use of metaphors and smiles, such as "captivation hit me at the speed of light' and the inner beauty that is like the star of Bethlehem," effectively highlights her perceived uniqueness and beauty. Wonderful read.

thank you so much my friend.
I really love the idea that comparing her to an angel would be far too short in describing her.

alluring piece, Dale.
