Deep into the part of me not touched by light
Like the new seeds planted in the earth.
When she looks at me I feel like
The hero I’ve never been
The savior I could never be
But through her crystal eyes
I feel that is the real me.
Looking into her crystal eyes
I see such untainted beauty
So beautiful it makes the Garden Of Eden
into a plain landscape of grass and trees.
She quenches my minds thirst
feeds my hungry heart
And protects my damaged soul.
Through her crystal eyes
It’s clear to see I am potential land
And she is the miracle rain.
Dale,
Thank you for putting this in our profile section so I could read it! It is just lovely, as it is calming and filled with admiration and love for another. From the beginning to the end it is beautiful!
I love the last lines............
Through her crystal eyes
It's clear to see I am potential land
And she is the miracle rain
..........just lovely!
Now, just throw in a rainbow for blessings, and you have the fill package!

Gorgeous write here my friend...you write a love poem that no one but you could write. You revel yourself here and show us how love can make us want to be our selves. That's a gift, thanks for sharing it. You should read this one on the radio next month. :)
Although the eyes are normally referred to as the portals to ones soul, the three different views, with her crystal eyes, looking into her crystal eyes and through her crystal eyes, gives the reader a new perspective with each one.
Breathtakingly beautiful Dale. You have outdone your personal best with style and grace...I really loved this.
Your prose is unusual in that you have condensed half of it...not sure why you did that, but I guess you were going for impact...I would say that you are inspired by someone in your life...
Thank you for your words. People don't seem to realise the effort it takes to post your feelings on the page for public scrutiny.
Kudos from me Dale, I will feature this on my profile...
Cheers,
Helen *big smiles*
The eyes are the window but as you have written they are the ones that holds us together. Excellent sensual write by you. I like the meaning and the feeling of closeness you developed here. I know that feeling that crystal eyes give maybe in a different way but in the end it is all the same.
It's better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool
