Yellow Rose

Yellow Rose

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

For my dear friend Amber.

"

Why are you my yellow rose of Texas?

If you asked here's what I'd say...

Cause your outer beauty is as natural

as the sun glistening of a rose petal

glowing with classy radiance

for the entire world to see.

May I even say so stunning

that like the northern winds

you take my breath away.

Most importantly the beauty of your soul

is like that of a fully bloomed rose

you can't help but be mesmerized

by the blissful nature of it.

Your kindness is the pollen

used to make the world a sweeter place.

If only a flower like you

would grow wildly across the land

then I know humanity would win.

So if you ever wondered why

I call you my yellow rose

that would be my simple reply.

Though there is one difference

between you and a rose…

being beauty like yours is rare.

I must make sure everyone knows the little poem inside the pic isn't mine just something I saw that I thought fit her too and just wanted to put it before my tribute to her.

"If you walk with grace of a rose in the wind, talk with the smoothness of a roses petals, and just look as beautiful as one, you might be a rose, love."(DH)

hehe, thought it might come nicely. It was such a beautiful write it almost made my eyes tear up. Overwhelming almost, but not quite? Sorry if i'm babeling at the moment but nothing I could say would open a window into how much I love this poem!

It was wonderful Dale! You've outdone yourself!

Dale,
Reading this objectively I must say it is quite stunning. Your heartfelt emotions shine through in every line. My favorite line is this:
"If only a flower like you
would grow wildly across the land
then I know humanity would win."

That is such a genuinely nice thing to say towards someone you care about so deeply. And the fact that I know you wrote this just for me causes me to pause, and be humbled by your honest friendship. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. You are truly a kindred spirit. :)

Very lovely write. It is very witty. I felt lighthearted reading your poem. The one you wrote it for is very lucky to have a friend who is very true to them.

Aw. It was sweet; I liked the lines comparing her to pollen and if only people bloomed like her more often the best. I loved reading this. :)

This is beautiful tribute to a special friend that is comes straight from your heart . . . to hers.

Full of admiration and soul. I'm sure whomever this poem was written for must feel very honored!

hugs,

This is beautiful Dale, you draw parallels with metaphor intent. I would have to say this is the most emotional write I have seen from you, but I have not read all your work yet. You very obviously have a person in mind who should be stoked by this token of genuine admiration.
Nice to see the absence of leather and chains! (pedal...petal)
Cheers,
Helen :-)
