Life Goes On

Life Goes On

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Smile through the dreams you made

and laugh in the face of pain

as you show misery a good time.

Allow the rains of liberty to help

the negativity to roll of your back

and soak into the ground where it belongs,

where the sun don’t shine… to be walked upon.

Let the rays of sunlight project

the magic of your true essence

and flourish amongst  the living

as the zombies of the world

befriend the shadows of hate.

For the world keep turning

dark or light…

hot or cold…

rich or poor,

With or without you life goes on,

so wouldn’t you rather grab it

then it grab you?

I like it. This piece is a great feel- good piece. I especially like the part where it says to discard misery on the ground... "where the sun don't shine to be walked upon." It is a good imagery, so clever. It is this kind of lines that makes the bottom of my heart has a "ting" sensation.
By the way, is this a typo?

Allow the rains of liberty to help

the negativity to roll "of" your back

did you mean roll "off" instead?

Wow! That's very motivating! Almost makes me want to get off this computer...almost! The lines run so smooth that it is depreciated if it is not read aloud. I truly enjoyed this poem!

Very impresive imagery without being too wordy. Your ideas of how to accept life's ever changing situations are profoundly refreshing to read.

Most certainly! Sometimes life can grab us by the throat and not let go, until we find the courage and the strength to reclaim what was lost within ourselves.

A poem that speaks volumes to my heart.

Thank you for sharing your talent with me.

Ooooh, this one's a subtle stinger! I like! Especially these lines:

"as the zombies of the world
befriend the shadows of hate."

And the ending was perfect Dale. Nicely done!

Yes, indeed I would like to grab life and take it for a spin! What a great message, my friend!!

Now, I think I'll have to repeat it in my head all day long... gotta remind myself of the true purpose.

Well done!

I take a little peek on the cafe before I start my day working for the world and I read this encouraging uplifting piece "Life goes on" by my friend Rock and Roll Cowboy. This piece has given me hope to go out this day and live. I rather grab it then it grab me. Thanks, man you made my morning that's going to fuel my whole day, In fact I'm printing your piece out and pasting on my desk so I can be insired all day. Great work.
