Metaphorically Silencing

Metaphorically Silencing

A Story by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

When you flip

The silence switch on

It becomes

A metaphorical

Paradigm

That displays

A kaleidoscope

In black and white.

And that is when

You find charity

Through the falling snow,

And you know

You don’t need a shovel

To clear a path

For this is where you begin,

and end.

Let me get this straight ... I flip the switch and get silence, which comes muffled in the snow because it's not silence. Just a metaphor. But each time I flip the switch I get more and more silence, so I keep doing it. And now it's what I need to do. And that cycle turns my mind causing black outs allowing my brain to spill all over the white snow spinning out of control. Then understanding scoped my situation and stopped to lend a hand, and some sand, to help me keep my footing as I walk to where I am. Is that what you're writing about?

I liked the wisdom in your words my friend. If we look at life with hopeful eyes. We can see the beauty in all things. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

silence is golden. In the winter month, it is white. In death, it is black.

this is one of your best poems yet, Dale.
the metaphors are so good, and the poem is a kaleidoscope, even though it is black print
on a white page...this colors the mind, with words that are silent but so palpable.
