I can write

My artwork

Line by line.

 

I can read

What I wrote

Line by line.

 

I can edit

My words

line by line.

 

But in the end

It will never be perfect.

But that’s okay.

Because my poems

Are a reflection of me.

A poet… A human being,

Writing from the heart.

A really good read and very encouraging personally, as I have a tendency to labor over my work looking for perfection, perhaps not to or for someone else, but to and for me. So maybe I need to relax a bit and just let something be finished. Interesting also because I don't expect perfection from myself or others. Thanks for the post.

The perfect poem. What a huge idea! Each one as perfect as a snowflake in the unique structure of each as written. Perfectly wrong to someone. Rarely right in our own sight because it was quite a fight. But since it is whatever we call it, is perfect ... I argue.

It is so true. We are not perfect. We write as we experience. We are merely humans. We strive for perfection, but that is an impossible goal. We should just accept our flaws and do our best. An excellent poem Dale Cowboy.
