A stranger’s unintentional Gift

A stranger’s unintentional Gift

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

All it took was one innocent compliment from a customer at my walk to make a positive impact on me

"

A stranger’s unintentional Gift

It took just one line,

A compliment at that

From a stranger.

Simple as it was.

It was powerful enough

To lift up my spirt

That was being weighed down

By an anchor of dealing with

My place in the world,

Since my physical limitations

Rocked my world.

 Now that stranger

Has a permanent place

In my heart

With one simple line

That put a tattoo of a smile

On my soul.

Love the idea of a tattoo of a smile
on my soul....which in this poem to me means the sense of being...rather than referring to
the Christian aspect of soul.
yes, we have our place in the world...and sometime all we need is an acknowledgement or two,
and it reinforces that who we are is important....even as the world can stomp on us during the harsh times.

If only more people would smile and give compliments where deserved. A smile alone can work wonders for someone not having a good day but, add a compliment and well....you have expressed how effective that can be. Nice read.

"…tattoo of a smile upon my soul…"

What a great line!

We never know how a kind word or a smile may change someone's day, lighten their mood or their load for even a moment. I love the way your poem expresses that.

Sometimes, the universe puts exactly the right person, in exactly the right spot, to give us exactly what is needed. Thanks for sharing your moment with us all.

I've noticed if I hold a door for someone it makes both of us feel good. I think it does have an impact on our happiness. :)

How thoughtful of that stranger to say whatever they said. It was kind. It raised your spirit. It made a big impact on your day and best of all it made you smile. It's the little things that can count most Dale. A nice uplifting read.

thank you Chris
Sometimes it is the little things that someone can do which has a huge impact on other individuals. A small compliment can go a long way, depicted in your poem. And sometimes we need that, a compliment, a smile, to brighten our day. Nicely written!
