A poem I wrote about my best friends brother who passed away recently

Heaven’s new ray of light
Is a man that faced everyday
With a smile. Turning his disability into a strength
By helping others
Facing the same challenges in life.

He was more than a man. More than a human being. He was an individual smile on humanity’s face.

Now etched in the hearts
Of the lives he touched
Will read “Franklin forever we love”, and that is more powerful and permanent than anything written in stone.

Some appear to have to deal with difficulties early on. It takes a special person to be able to do it without complaint and to help others in the bargain. This sounds like one of those brave souls.
