I awoke to rain,

I fell asleep to the rain,

That’s a good night's sleep.

We have had about ten days of rain in the past year. We got 8" in 2 days, a month ago or so (10.5" yearly total), but otherwise locked in a drought. For this reason, the sound of rain is every bit as delicious as you profess . . . it's the stuff of dreams! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

There is something soothing about the fall of rain outside while you sleep. As long as the roaring winds and window-rattling thunder claps stay out of the mix, that is.
