A Vision In The Night

A Vision In The Night

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

 Her eyes of raven black

puncture my soul with wounded stares

forcing me to take remembrance

of my darkest nightmare.

Those blood red lips

that brings about piercing sounds

sending shards of broken promises

into my armored flesh.

That pure white skin

flashes images of fresh fallen snow

before being completely trampled on

by innocent bystanders.

She stands there a vision in the night

that will haunt me for life.

Haunting. Great imagery, both visually and emotionally. Did you really experience this? Just curious. Great poem!

I like this! A dark edge to a sultry sword. Hauntings are the worst. You gave a wonderful rendition of this vision that haunts. Great write!
