A Dance To RememberA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
Across the floor I went My knees about to fold Not sure what to say Not really expecting a yes But with last call said It was my only chance. A sincere yes out something I haven’t felt in quite a while… Confidence!! Stepping on the dance We moved in step Hands locked tightly Bodies close enough To know what each other was feeling. Not a word was spoken For our movements said it all… Life is still there. When the last note faded So did you into the crowd Leaving me to trip home alone But giving me so much more To look forward to. That moment we shared Had showed me… I have a lot of dancing left to do. Every time that sweet tune Haunts my ears I will remember you Beautiful woman Whose name I never knew. Forever I will be grateful For giving me… A second chance. © 2008 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Featured Review
