Catastrophe In The Christmas Tree

Catastrophe In The Christmas Tree

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Tinsel glitters just like silver

Giving the tree a little extra something.

Ornaments hang from branches

As an extension of its Christmas spirit.

Strings of lights give off a glow

Giving a festive hug that brings it all together.

Then comes the cat with its own

Style of Christmas spirit

Giving a gift that cannot be sold in stores.

Down goes the tree, out goes the lights,

Crash go the ornaments

While tinsel decorates the tail.

What is left is the gift of laughter

Once the wrapping made of frustration

Is peeled away.

LOL, what a funny vision. I can see it now! Nice comparisons for a frustrating scene that ends in the joys of laughter for the season. Thanks for the smile Dale! Needed this one today :)

I look at them more as royalty and we are peasants, LOL

Have a Meowy Christmas.
As the owner (or employee) of two cats, I can identify deeply with this piece.
