Candy Crushed

Candy Crushed

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

To trick or to treat?

That is the question:

Weather it is wider

To risk being cheap

And find your lawn

Looking like a cat

Invaded the Charmin factory,

Or give away the sweets

You are craving to eat.

Tis the thought

Of that sugar rush

That clouds a decision

That should be so obvious.

Betrayal of common sense

Is a common trait

Of the human being

For that moment of pleasure

Seems like it is worth

The mess that will be made...

Until you have to clean it up.

What a wonderfully clever use of words, Dale... had me smiling start to finish.. not in a funny ha-ha way but at the great use of a previous setting over an event that really shouldn't exist in the way it does. As to those darned cats.. and those other demanding little critters.. why aren't they home playing with snakes 'n ladders or hide and seeking?! Even they have a place in things going bang in the night. Clever you, sir knight.
