Forever

 

Forever is the word

That takes the most toll

On the heart

Because every tic of the clock

Is a step toward losses

We’re bound to endure.

 

Forever is something

No heart can keep up with

So we must rely on the soul

To lead the way.

 

Forever has no patience

And leaves everyone behind,

That is why we must keep

The souls that hold our hearts close.

 

So when I tell you forever

I don’t mean from the

Bottom of my heart,

Rather from the depth of my soul.

i think this poem teaches me something...used to believe in "forevers" when it came to love.
don't anymore...also know that we won't be around forever...truth...
and...i believe we have to spend the "whatever" time we have on earth, making the most of it...life is too short...the soul might live forever...the rest of us won't.
