Stone Cold DreamA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
Awakening
with a smile on my face And an
aching in my bones, For after
a hypothetical adventure I find
myself at home Under a cotton
current, Drowning in
the depths of confusion. Trying to
figure out Why things
I’ve never seen Become a
warped memory, As I swim
to the shallow end of reality Thoughts flood
my skull With images
encased in a frozen waterfall. I seem to
slide in place With no
expression on my face, While on
my knees I pray to
swim with the fishes But find
no weak spot Upon this
frozen pond. That was
when I awakened With the
smile on my face And the
aching in my bones, It was
then that I realized The hypothetical
adventure Was just my
subconscious facing my fears. © 2019 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
