Rock n Roll Cowboy,
"The Devil Likes To Play"
Are our eyes open and do we ask questions? Is evil real? Does sin exist? Your poem is quite a list within poetic form. Quite a song it must be!
"Searching for reasons for the world's pain." and "Pitchfork 'Schemes."
We can question and think. Wonderful thoughtful, inquisitive poem!
Blessings,
Kathy

While reading your poem, I have made some lines in my mind which then I made into verses. Here they are:
When you hear the devil singing
Would you still listen to his voice?
If the words are like inspiring
Don't make mistake in making your choice.
When he show you a very nice image
Would you stare at it that long?
A smile is different from grimace
Would you distinguish what's right from wrong?
The devil always wanted to play
And his victims are his toys
It's up to you if you will stay
And will listen to his noise...

It's Sunday here now and I am reflecting on something. This piece is something relevant for reflection. The devils ways are confusing, but faith will always lead us to good choices...
Thanks for the share.

without pain there would be no joy and vice versa, i guess.
"Picthfork schemes" Wow! He is up to his tricks ever since the time he was cast out from heaven and it's his business to lead us astray. He is an obstacle to be overcome. He is also a part of the learning to attain salvation.
The lyrics are great! The poem is great too. Thanks a lot for it.

Yes, he does like to 'play'.. Great lyrics.. many songs by the newer metal bands glorify the devil .. sick lyrics they are.
Seems so many times we only pray when we are in trouble.. it should be daily.. I won;t make this religious I am not a fan of the devil so I am going on and on lol
Good poem/lyrics and such a horrid picture to sink in with these words..
Powerful, gripping song... flowing through the pain of shattered lives and the Devil's schemes... What a horrid darkness can come over the world when we sit unawares... Thank you for this honest, profound write.
"Well, the devil can go to hell!"
Oh, guess he's already there only coming
out to raise a little cane now and then.
I know him well. This is a very good set of lyrics
that I, indeed, relate to. Good job.
You really never cease to amaze me with the writings you produce. You have an unbelievable talent Dale, I hope you know that! This was fabulous I really enjoyed it! would love to hear d tune on YouTube..... Hmmmmm????
You have definitely moved beyond the point of writing poetry into poetic literature. Where in that soul of yours do you find such intriguing works. Cause the devil likes to play his games too. How often we have danced with him and thought we won, not realizing the true results await us in the end. You are magnificent in this work.
It's better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool
