The Water SongA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Lyrics I have been working onWaking up feeling sea sick Realizing I’m now stranded On this island made of stone Cause of last nights shipwreck. The oceans flow so deep And rivers run so fast But unlike you and me They will always last. I tried to use a lifejacket To make it back to you and me But ended up in a dark abyss Beneath the deep blue sea. Chorus: Floating here all alone Waiting for the storm To have mercy on me By washing me ashore. Where I can dry my heart out And understand what are love boat was for. Now my tears flow like a stream For the first time in so long It is so hard to try and When you feel like a rock in a pond. When will it rain on my pain So hope can be my shelter And the sorrow washed away Down a drain with your promises. Chorus: Laying here all alone Waiting for the storm To have mercy on me By cleansing my soul So when everything is calm I can move on to something more.
