The wordplay with "Window Pain" encouraged me to read this delightful little piece.
CONTENT AND FORMAT
Windows are often used to observe our surroundings without venturing there. The word "pain" is kept at bay. The question I ask: Is the window keeping out the "pain" or confining it where the speaker resides? It appears that the stained glass is not for looking outside. This is where I imagined a church; a safe place. Perhaps, the speaker is hiding from external sources of what troubles him. The inner demons appear to remain outside when the windows offer protection.
Concise formatting is always appreciated. The larger font made it pleasant to read, setting the mood for the writing.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
Overall, I was enthralled with the philosophical questions the writer evoked. Thank you for sharing!
sincerely,

Hey love, very vivid images. One suggestion would be to change to "sun's rays" at the end of the second line to make it more visual for the reader, but this was beautiful and the color imagined at the stained glass...left me feeling the color washing through the light. Love it.
