I notice that Corset is interpreting this as a poem about suicide, but I don't see it that way at all. I see this as a statement of a living death . . . flatlining while still breathing . . . and I don't mean on life support. To me, this kaleidoscope is a perfect description of how it feels when a person has no life, or no sense of self, or feels there's nothing to live for. Aside from the bleak interpretations, I really love the 2nd & 3rd lines becuz that's how it is, for real, sometimes. Great observations!

Wow... Life gives us reason to be humble...
and realize that we are always learning that there is a better way. The great Inventors were diligent in discovering the formula for many purposes. We are all Inventors of our own
Life.. it takes time and wisdom to contribute to Mankind. truly, Pat
Sometimes we feel we have reached a dead end. We have seen & done everything that we could possibly do within our realm and with our capacities & our limitations and we think there isn't much else that we can achieve. We kind of missed the bus. Round pegs in square holes, couldn't make it /adjust in this strange & difficult world. The glory that was to be ours seems far out of reach and we can't do more as our strength and time are both waning. So though the end maybe unforeseen (or far), the story of our unsung, average life, our conclusion, seems foregone. Please know these thoughts are mine as how I feel about myself, my life. But we never know of life and its sweet quirks. So I'll keep the dreams alive till that very last breath. ❤❤❤

❤❤❤ Thanks for appreciating...it was a pleasure to read this poem 😊
Such an introspective view of where you are, what you see, how you feel, Dale. That might seems a hint critical, tho isnt meant to be, because maybe you're more aware than you were after going through surgery, feel sick as a parrot but by no means as colourful. You see things and feel things that weren't there before, once upon a time.. perhaps; more negatives than positives... sad that. Sad, because life has just put on another coat... it's a case of getting used to the fit.. and feeling its warmth. Perhaps.
Fine writing, fine thoughts, and in many ways, helpful to those still finding how..

Fine phrasing, visual meanings perhaps stronger than before when grey actually mant almost pitch black. Take care, keep safe.. and keep well, please.

the sucky thing about suicide is the shape you are in if you don't succeed, freakin' doctors are way just to good at what they do! When u wake up in all fourty bloody kinds of painful hell , and you realize it just wasn't gonna happen that way, "they" want you when "they" want you, not when you think you are ready, then they make it truly freaky for the rest of the interim, you realize maybe you should have just turned the vibrations up a little higher instead of lower. oh wait...you already know this survivor :) Eulogy...its no way near time for that yet

Ooh I love this! Your writing is superb and I love the title, very creative. The second and third line can be very relatable and really add to the overall message to this poem.
Keep writing!

Thank you so very kindly. Appreciate the positive feedback.
I don't think I have ran across a depressing piece of yours..but I do believe, I have now. You are so very rich in the way you impact lives in positive ways.. in life AND with your writing. Because you share..we are richer too .. ( : Just by writing this piece, you let someone know, they are not so alone, or different..just human and venerable.. ((Hugs)) little bro
