I liked the poem.
"Blackbird just sing away
Before my faith decides
To fly away."
Do blackbirds sing? I never notice. More of a prey bird than gentle. I liked the energy and drive of the poem. A nice ending to a outstanding poem.

One wonders what the blackbird symbolizes, if anything. The poem comes across much like a prayer for peace on earth among all people, even if they do come from "different seeds." The last verse hints that the speaker's faith has been severely tested by the state of the world today. May that bird sing for all of us.
I always have a murder of crows in my yard. From your words, the fact that you mention blackbird and faith really stands out to me. When I watch a crow walking across the yard, feathered back, it always reminds me of a preacher, walking with his hands behind his back, deep in thought and pensive. I know that most don't care for them, but I think that they are rather smart. They remember those who treat them well and will often bring gifts of gratitude.

If i could fly and sing like a bird - black bird especially, i'd be more than ghrilledp to be called birdbrain!
Reading a second time, trying to read between the lines.. as won-der-ing.. could you be writing and speaking about people marrying from different races or creeds and asking for guidance from somewhere higher than your sofa? Maybe the differences are causing hesitation? Okay so i'm wrong but, that means your finely written poem has sparked thought, surely...
