AbsolutionA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Inspired by a song of the same name by The Pretty RecklessBound
in chains by links Of
cold steel attitude, The
only way to free my soul now Is
to hammer out the truth, Even
if it means self inflicted wounds… For
bruises fade away, bones heal up, But
the heartache of breaking your heart Is
a pain greater than any torture chamber Could
ever produce… My
judgment has no GPS, My
morals have lacked decorum… I
can only hope your understanding Can
read between the lines And
your forgiveness is strong enough To
lift your heavy heart to the heavens Where
pain has no meaning And
absolution flows like The
blood of Christ. © 2015 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Author's NoteReviews
