oh my goodness Cowboy this is "wow" worthy, i loved the lines and the underlying sentiment of admiration for the independent woman, as a rose, as a flower struggling in a harsh environment can actually be applied to and appreciated by, all women today, in this crazy world. gorgeous write.

Thank you so much sweetie, you review tickled my heart.
This is amazing because it brought tears to my eyes. Somewhere in this poem was that me who has suffered so much and who is still paying the price for trying to be me. God has blessed you with such unmatched insigh t and empathy.

You are welcome Dale. This touched such a chord. Much appreciated.
Dale!!!. I absolutely LOVE this... for once you have left me speechless... I...just.. don't know.. what to say... other than... omg!.. stunning!.. favorites for sure sweet cowboy.... showing that sweet, soft center that I adore... Love the strength mixed with vulnerability in this.. feeling out of place, different, lost isn't easy and learning to let go of trying to fit in and find your own place takes courage and resilience.. you expressed that beautifully here... ((hugs)) to ya!...

A beautiful poem. A fighting rose standing the cold of Winter left the reader with a vision of strength and wanting to survive the coldness. Not be just be another Spring rose. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry. I liked how you used the rose in the poem.

You are welcome. Always a pleasure to read your words.
Wow. This is really strong. trying to fit into the wrong element. We all have to make choices and the consequences are not always desirable. But we'd rather suffer to live on our own terms than to accept a soulless life" In a man made garden in spring." wonderful. speaks to me.
One thing, unless you prefer it this way, every line doesn't have to start with a capital.
Loved your write.

Well the roses in Heaven flourish
and never die they are quite lovely.
But roses like many beautiful things
don't have a long life span.
Alone stands a single red rose
In search of the rare winter sun,
Unfazed by nature’s rules,
For she would rather
Wilt away in the harsh weather
Than be just another bloom
In a man made garden in spring.
Beautiful piece thank you for sharing
and for stopping by my page.
My wrist is still healing but was
doing a little better after the ice pack
and is hurting some again so I am going to take
one Aleve and put some mild heat on it and lay
down and go to sleep.
God bless and merry Christmas my friend. Benita
