![]() Green PeaceA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
I see it everyday Unfolding before my
eyes Like our country’s
flag Coming apart at the
seems.
The horror drowns
my mind In a man made lake, Salt water burning
my brain.
This body of water Is so damn cold, I wish it were liquid nitrogen I could dip my heart
in And freeze the
pain; Thus stopping it From clogging my
arteries.
Where is the love
in bloom Among all the weeds Of greed and
selfishness That has taken over
this garden Called the human
race.
Oh how easy it
would be To dry up among the
masses, I would rather take
the hard way Of being the
greener grass On the other side.
I know I might get
trampled At times, But like real grass My spirit is
resilant.
Even if I am Never more then a
seedling In the dirt, It is better than Being mold on a beautiful
tree That stinks up the
fresh air When ever Mother
Nature Kisses humanity With a cool breeze. © 2014 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
