Oh my Lord, this is beyond amazing, Dale... I loved the ending, this is such a beautiful sentiment for sure and I am agreeing with what everyone said. Whoever your muse is one lucky lady to have such a wonderful man such as yourself and must be touched to be your muse..
I liked this poem very much, dale. When you wrote: "You were my muse /Before I ever realized/Why I was so inspired/ To write what moves me." I think I understood the sentiment , or at least I clipped my own, onto your poem. And it was this. Whether we write, or we just dream, we have an idea of what is beautiful to us, what is important, to us. And people move in and out of our lives everyday for many years without us ever knowing them, and they ever knowing us. As an observer (less, a participator) I see this all the time; people moving right through / others, and you want to say things like, what a tragedy. He doesn't even know this guy, why would he treat him that way? Or, she had a heart as big as saturn, why doesn't any one else see that? yet, we all keep moving, searching. But sometimes, almost like magic, and still even rarer than that, two people stop right in front of each other, and measure, the soul. They say something natural and authentic, like: It/ fits...
Just like, in your poem.
That is what your heartfelt poem illustrated for me, that when that moment comes you have to recognize it. And it seems everything you've ever done your entire life, had to do with that very moment.
Thank you for the invite/ to this piece

Thank you so much for the in-depth and very kind review.
Its a wonderful statement of cooperation and relationship with someone we identify with ... more so because it implies a relation at many levels. It gets to be like being on a boat 5 storeys high ... but with fair winds ... that ought to get to where its going. All the best on the new job today.
Hmnn... sounds romantic. You and her are perfect match in that case. Go and finish the love story ever told.
