Hell In My Bones(Even Though I Have Seen The Light)A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)I'm old enough to no better but sometimes still carelessUnstable
intuitions Sometimes leads
my intentions Into confusion Causing the water
under the bridge To rise and wash
it out. Gut reactions
become insecure When the fire of
compassion Turns cold as ice Due to frozen
anxieties. Lord knows I’m
not perfect Even though I
have tried Walking on water Only to end up
drowning While taking
innocent swimmers Down with me. With age has comes
wisdom And now I know my
place Is along the
shoreline Being a pillar of
faith In the community
of humanity. That doesn’t stop
me From giving in to
the temptation Of testing the
calm sea Only to create
rough waters. I know deep down There is hell in
my bones, So I thank God That Jesus’ blood
Runs through my
veins. © 2014 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
