Dog Eat Dog(Till All The Bones Are Devoured)A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
In this dog eat dog
world Compassion is too
often left With a hungry heart. Compromise is criticized By those who can
afford To break the rules. God help the hurtful For they know no other
life, For when you are
taught To live in the shadows The sunlight hurts
your eyes Making it tough to see… Watery eyes makes
ripples In the line of sight Causing the fork in
the road To look like the devil Waving his pitchfork. Mark my words An illusion of that
magnitude Will shake the
foundation Of your moral beliefs, Leaving nothing but a
broken conscience To crush your backbone So the dogs can eat. © 2014 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
