I think you're right, unfortunately I wasn't drinking....was my pleasure, this was great Dale.
First let me say thank you so much for sending me a read request! Now, the poem- it is simply wonderful. The word choices were brilliant and it has a grit and ruggedness, like men- which is appealing. Great stanzas and the middle alignment works well for this poem. The closing stanza was just awesome. The third stanza I love the best! Great piece of poetry. :)

I think when you lose the ability to keep it in you become Human ....the superhero and the dark rider live still within the soul but nature has taken in full the debt. Shhhhhh... I was Wonderwoman I still wear my cape beneath my clothes:P

I won't tell a soul, LOL… thank you for expressing your thoughts.
A very good tale. It is a bad day when the liquid overtake the drunken skull. Would be a site to see. Thank you for the excellent and entertaining poetry my friend.

The paths we have known, the paths we have been saved of... that is what this means to me... I think I have tried every path to shy away from the right one... Im thankful and humbled to be where I am today... not that its easy, far from it, just that its right, just, and worth it... what worth it came easy anyhow? I see that this pen is dark but for me its like looking back at shadows from the light. Thank you for this reminder.

Thank you for sharing your deep insight, I really like what you took from this poem.
Ah how brilliant this write is Dale... it speaks of many things, just in one (maybe lifetime) to bear with...

Thank you again, that pic was an inspiration but it is a sad reality in this world.
Damn man, you knocked out a hell of a poem from that pic. I hope mine turns out half as good as your take, this was an awesome read. You captured the character's desolation quite aptly.

I've been having this stupid issue with writers block where I've gotten a couple lines, but neither anything to fill them out nor nothing to connect them. I dunno how to fix that yet. :/ I've tried but thus forth it always seems, to me at least, very forced. All my work over the past 2 years has that same feel. :/
