Going With The Flow

Going With The Flow

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Pitter patter

Go the raindrops

That will eventually

Rust the tin roof.

Wind is howling

Like the lonely wolf

Crying out to the

Distant man in the moon.

The trees begin to sway

Trying not to break

At the command

Of Mother Nature’s fury.

Sitting where I am sheltered

From the unbridled elements;

Until jealousy started to sink in.

Stepping out, arms raised;

I embrace the raindrops

Drenching my skin

While howling at the wild

Without control of the volume.

Then I just danced with the breeze

Letting it guide me

Through unfenced space.

This was how I felt yesterday, I always get so invigorated and excited by a howling storm, I don't much care for cold winter rain, but spring and summer rain storms makes the blood pump with excitement, love how you captured this here.

Nothing more liberating, in my experience, than walking, running, dancing... Hell doing anything in the rain ;) it seems to wash off the spirit and refresh the soul... Brilliant poem!

Yes and those people are missing out on something purely beautiful.
Wow! What an amazing vision within your expression...
I love the rain, it cleanses the spirit...allows us to release the wanderlust...

Beautifully painted...~xoxo~

Me too, thank you for stopping by.
The imagery brings out the essence of freedom, and acceptance of "what is".
As we accept and embrace what is, without control, we are guided to what "should be"
It is that unfenced space of our minds, of our lives that gives us the freedom to grow.
Lovely write, dear friend...good food for the soul. Thank you.
