The Lipstick Remains The SameA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
Cherry colored lips Stain my skin… So deep down… That even a storm Couldn’t wash them away. The Eastern winds Hug me with chilling intentions… Intentions not to be revealed Until carved in my tombstone; Till then I know the rain will serve As ghostly tears That will baptize my soul In haunting emotions That jump start my heart In times of loneliness. I clearly see life Imitating fantasy While watching death Escape reality, So I close my eyes To change my perspective Only to find That Led Zepplin was right; “The Song Remains The Same”
