The world is a crazy ride

And life is in the driver’s seat.

Don’t let someone else’s dreamcatcher

Turn into a web of lies

For you to get caught in.

Avoid the corners of your mind

Where these traps hide.

Enjoy the freedom

Of roaming the unexplored

Parts of your brain

Where you have options

To move in any direction.

Feel the rush of thinking for yourself

And the power that comes from

learning from your mistakes.

Fear is just a four-letter word

But life is a word that can’t be defined

And neither should you.

Life is a crazy ride, you and me know, for have faced the other side, of the ride.... (won't dig in detail, me before you, then you, then us). but you come to a point, all is relative, and happiness once woken up, and out of the coma.... you see things clear-er... than clear. Fear is just nothing more than that four letter word, as "brave" has one more letter, to guide us on.... I think you are brave my sweet friend, you never complain, you never are selfish, you are great in being an example to the world, and here on Writers Cafe, you always have been. :) Wise words on your journey, those I live highly too... thank you for sharing,

Yes Dale, dream catchers are not meant to keep us from dreaming or to trap us within a dream. Poetry can be a trap of sorts or a true dream catcher. It can be a dream mirror as well... ha.
I like how you end this. No definition given, no box provided, just the openness to live and live well. My practice of living is trying to catch up with my understanding... :) Now that I am finally understanding more of how I have practiced living. (but this is another story)
I do like his topic Dale. I think it could be a topic of discussions for weeks on end. I'll stop though for now.

Here is a very solid and sound piece of wisdom that makes the difference between living and existing. There are lots of people in our lives who try their best to prevent us from being in the driver's seat and there's also thefour letter word that often limits us, restricts our thinking, which is sad because in giving in to them, we give up the right to charter our own course, define our own journey.

No one really knows about what will happen in the future...that is the mystery of life. But as what they say, you are the driver of your own life...so it depends also to the choices you make. I still believe that we can make our own choice...but God will allow everything to happen if He want them to happen.
