Out Of Control

 

A sea of golden waves

where a fruitful bounty

once stood proudly.

Burnt out ideals

has left the heartland dehydrated

with hot headed solutions

burning down what remained.

This wildfire will continue to spread

cause nature cannot be controlled

even after it has been altered.

Mankind is ignorant

about things that have no limitations.

Now the powers that be need to realize

they cannot buy miracles

from the most powerful being.

Faith can only be found

in our forefather’s graves

but our fearless leaders are not brave enough

to bring fourth skeletons from the dark.

Everything goes to the wall because nobody cares for anything but quick bucks or the equivalent. It's been like that for eons, the strong taking what they could, never mind the result. Our world's been dug up, cut down, polluted and abused out of recognition in many parts. Ethics and ideals don't matter any more. And you've said more or less that in marvellously powerful and fine wording, Dale. 'Now the powers that be need to realize ~ they cannot buy miracles ~ from the most powerful being.' Sorry to say, we can't stick a plaster over it or give it anti.biotics.. tis too late.

The horrifying situation will go on worsening everywhere with progressive commercialization of societies. Tampering with the formidable forces of nature for material gains has already set catastrophic consequences in motion...Its a pity conscience is dead and man's corruption is complete...

I once told a friend that if we really take time to look at the past, we will know that the advancement of history was often more of a trial and error and mistakes of the past explain the many almost unexplainable and often tragic outcome made by the great leaders throughout history. Our becoming is as much the result of those mistakes as they are the result of some brilliant plans by inspired leaders. No one to blame, not even ourselves. This is a very powerful write with many things to be pondered upon.
