Out Of Control

 

A sea of golden waves

where a fruitful bounty

once stood proudly.

Burnt out ideals

has left the heartland dehydrated

with hot headed solutions

burning down what remained.

This wildfire will continue to spread

cause nature cannot be controlled

even after it has been altered.

Mankind is ignorant

about things that have no limitations.

Now the powers that be need to realize

they cannot buy miracles

from the most powerful being.

Faith can only be found

in our forefather’s graves

but our fearless leaders are not brave enough

to bring fourth skeletons from the dark.

Everything goes to the wall because nobody cares for anything but quick bucks or the equivalent. It's been like that for eons, the strong taking what they could, never mind the result. Our world's been dug up, cut down, polluted and abused out of recognition in many parts. Ethics and ideals don't matter any more.
