Everything goes to the wall because nobody cares for anything but quick bucks or the equivalent. It's been like that for eons, the strong taking what they could, never mind the result. Our world's been dug up, cut down, polluted and abused out of recognition in many parts. Ethics and ideals don't matter any more. And you've said more or less that in marvellously powerful and fine wording, Dale. 'Now the powers that be need to realize ~ they cannot buy miracles ~ from the most powerful being.' Sorry to say, we can't stick a plaster over it or give it anti.biotics.. tis too late.

You got that right, thank you for sharing such deep insight.
'Tis in man's nature to explore. Sometimes we learn, mostly we make mistakes, but above all we seem to ignore the lessons. Let us hope there is still time.
This could be accomplished if only we put our selfish ways aside...If we clean up our act as a whole, then can we extinguish the wildfire. (I'm an optimist, you know that) :)
"grapes of wrath" is the first thought that comes to mind...so many truths
last two lines are fantastic , though it closes the poem..it leaves us pondering

oh you flatterer... keep going... giggling a pleasure always !
Leaders in the dark, numb to the light, numb to the sound ringing in their hearts, and the cinders swirl horizontal, beauty to behold ,Till you see the way they smile, as if the blanket can contain a future ,like water fire is strong , a powerful force demanding respect.
It's better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool
