Face By Heart

Face By Heart

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Love should always be unconditional

"

It’s okay if you need to wear a mask

to protect your emotions from the world

cause I know your face by heart.

If you need to stand in the shadows

to keep your feelings safe from harm

I will grow you a tree with plenty of leaves

cause I know your face by heart.

If you need distance to sort out your thought

travel as far as you need to get that space

for I know your face by heart…

And it will always be smiling inside me.

I love this! We feel like we have to put on masks out there in the world, but never should we have to wear them with our love.

This is very thoughtful and shows a side to you that is very caring. We all need some distance and times when just being by ourselves is vital. Nice writing.

You are such an amazing guy...I can tell from this poem!
I am sure she is listening and I know she loves you too. :)

May favorite lines...

"If you need to stand in the shadows
to keep your feelings safe from harm
I will grow you a tree with plenty of leaves
cause I know your face by heart." - its just so touching and so comforting!

Thanks for writing Dale!
