Straight Up

Straight Up

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

"Just one thing I know for certain, growing old don't make a boy a man." "Demons Down" by House Of Lords

"

Childhood is all about the innocence,

with that come tantrums, being tackless

and ignoring responsilibilty.

Bringing those qualities into adulthood

is a whole different game

good folks don’t want to play.

Coming of age doesn’t mean

we can’t have fun,

just as long as it is not with another’s emotions.

If you don't want to share respect

then don’t expect to get it in return.

If you think disrespecting women

makes you a cool guy

think again foolish boy.

There is a difference between

being young a t heart

and being completely immature,

the latter will get you a timeout

in a playpen built for one.

Oh you naughty cowboy you :)

A very witty poem. It's so full of spunk. It will bounce of any trouble makers automatically!

"the latter will get you a timeout
in a playpen built for one" - Very clever use of words.

You are as clever as you are cute!

Oh hell yes. This is awesome advice. My one nitpick would be add a "don't" in the line "If you want to share respect" ;-) Really good one, this.

There is my editor hard at work... Thank you vacker :)
This is brutally true of adulthood. So true that sharing respect does not promise its return. Awesome piece here, man. Enjoyed.

Thank you sir.
Play pin build for one. Love that. Treating a woman with love and respect goes a long way. To keep a good woman you have to be a good man not a childish boy.

You got that right.
I like the no metaphors approach. Sometimes you can't sugar-coat the truth. So amen to that my friend.
