Powdered Doughnuts

 

That sticky sweet powder

may give you a rush

but the sour fall

will shrink  your veins,

cutting off the source of good

that fills your heart.

If you are not yourself anymore

then your tombstone has been carved

for the grave you’ve been digging.

Talking through rotten teeth

only makes the lies stink more

for you are not only living on borrowed time

but stolen money as well.

It is fitting that you gave away your soul

for the condition it is in now it isn’t worth a dime.

But the soul is as resilient

as it is invisible,

so the damage can be repaired

if only you are willing to see

in the nick of time

that the thing you think sweetens your life

is really decaying it.

the sweet, quick fix is really destroying us...

we will fall eventually, it is just delayed...

was not to direct I really only recognized because last summer I had an a/c guy out to my home for repairs his nose looked like it had a fruit loop stuck right on it..but there are no white fruit loops so powdered doughnut is a way better description...he almost fried himself then dropped his new phone in my potty really wanted to ask him if it was worth all that he was working so I didn't complain his physical pain and phone down the drain was a just reward!*)_

Funny thing is I got the idea watching an episode of Psych,,, the guy woke up with powder on his face and thought it was drugs and ended up being from licking doughnuts. Funny where the inspiration comes from. I have known people in the situation and watched their lives go down the drain.

Ahh, the things we love and the agony we suffer for the luxurious confectionery sugar high that distorts our thinking and erodes our looks. No amount of brushing will erase the toxic effects created by this chemical donut.
Leave it to that devious mind to pull such a trick. A butcher, a baker, a cocaine maker.
