To which side? I think this Senryu says more about you than any bared soul piece you have ever written or ever will. I think it says a lot about all of us, in fact. The heart and soul of this site is written right there in this Senryu, Dale. You've captured it. This should be the Cafe's motto, because this is it...absolutely it...in a nutshell. We all think one sided about our own work, be it we think we are absolutely brilliant or absolutely s**t...without another opinion, we continue to think that way. This is such an amazing piece. Damn, son...just amazing.

Wow... You really saw the deepness of this piece... how grateful I am for that. Thank you so much.

Every now and then a piece just clicks in your head, you know? Always my pleasure, Dale.
There is great truth to this piece Dale. We all tend to think and critique ourselves in a certain light, and it takes an outsiders frame of reference and opinion to make us see past our own point of view. Nicely done!

Yes that is so true, thank you so much for expressing your thoughts, always valued by me.
Great point you bring into the open, Dale. Does art even exist if not validated by someone other than the creator? And if the creator is the only one who will ever witness it then he/ or she can either dismiss it as inconsequential Or tell themselves it was a goddamn masterpiece...
Very deep...
We can never grow as writers without the thoughts and feedback of well-meaning friends and readers...
But it also made me think of a one-sided relationship...a non-communicative partner...?
A clever senryu :)
All the beauty in the world is worthless without true recognition. One could not rise to stardom without the fanatics as a writer could not grasp the thin threads of fame without the readers. Very well thought out, Sir.
It's better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool
