Candle In The Rain

God bless the innocent taken to soon in that Connecticut school. May the light last long enough to see us through this dark day.

 

  

A single flame burns

inside the fallen rain,

protected by the breath

of a determined angel

seeking solace for the innocent

paralyzed by madness

before their act

received its curtain call.

Though it knows that the candle

cannot last forever

it knows the light should

weather the storm.

A lovely and heartfelt tribute.
It is such a tragic, heartbreaking event. I've cried today hearing this news.- for all the lives lost, those poor children, teachers, for their families... I can't fully imagine the extent of their pain but I pray they find some sort of peace.

~ a very heartfelt piece of poetry, monsieur dale... ~ i just saw a report on television and i'm shocked... it's absolutely devastating... ~ society is plagued with rage and its getting expressed in the worst possible ways... ~ the shooter was just 20... ~ we're such a petty species... it's so saddening... so very saddening... ~ we're all in desperate need of all the light we can find...
