Melancholy WeatherA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Grey clouds that paint
the sky decorate my blue eyes as I stare towards
heaven praying for rain. While I await for father
time to work out the
reasoning with God on when my wish should become fate the swaying of a tree becomes the pendulum that puts me in a trance and sweeps my memory to a time when the sun was a positive
influence. As the will of nature
dictates it shall again one day, but first I await the
rivers to overflow so they can carry away the debris left behind
by a dead season due to excessive heat. When I feel the first
drop baptizes my forehead a chill runs down my
spine strengthening a tired
back. Tilting my head back with mouth open wide I drown in the downpour knowing that’s what it
will take to keep my soul on
higher ground.
